Team: BOX Studios Dan Kraiss, Principal in Charge | Jamie Cavalier, Project Manager | Brooke Kalvaitis, Project Designer | Valerie Jardon, Director of Strategy | Carlos Rivera, Technical Director | Corinn Hanson, Environmental Branding
Client: ENA Emergency Nurses Association
Project: A full renovation of a 44,000 square foot, stand-alone building.
Project Challenge: To create a modern office space with innovative, flexible, and collaborative work environments supporting ENA’s core values, its mission, and the daily efforts of more than 43,000 members. To engage in color conversations that created consensus, meaningful dialogue, and a color palette that reflects the needs and desires of the ENA.
“We found ourselves designing a brand new 44,000 square foot facility knowing that our company branding was under revision, and would not be complete until after we moved into the new space. We wanted to ensure that our color selection for our new space would work in conjunction with our new branding, while also creating excitement and energy for our space. The color workshop provided by BOX Studios (using the LOVE GOOD COLOR system) allowed us to define the energy we were striving to achieve in the new space while showing us how our rebranding would also work in the space. In the end, we were able to paint walls and select fabrics that made our employees feel pride and excitement and allow us to rebrand in a harmonious way. It was a huge success.”
-Nancy MacRae, Executive Director - Emergency Nurses Association
Color Solution: In the past, most of our designers selected color based on what they liked. Now, using the LOVE GOOD COLOR system, we have more freedom to be creative without being pigeonholed. The system allowed us to easily align with our client goals. It was more scientifically based and allowed for dialogue from the start.
Execution: By using LOVE GOOD COLOR, the process was more engaging from the beginning. We were able to create two palettes with established client trust. Our client could easily participate and with the subtle shifts, we delivered a palette much quicker, easier and with full alignment.
